In brief

This website does not use cookies or tracking. We only process personal data in the following cases: when you access our website, when you contact us by email or telephone, and when you contact or interact with us via our profiles on social networks and in stores. You will find the details in the following sections.

1. Controller

battyRabbit UG (haftungsbeschränkt)

Email: contact@battyrabbit.com

2. Accessing the website

When you access our website, our hosting provider processes technically necessary data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR), in particular your IP address and information about your browser, in order to deliver the website to you. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for this purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in providing our website securely and reliably.

3. Contact by email or telephone

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your details (for example your name, your contact details and the content of your request) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is aimed at concluding or performing a contract with you, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering the requests addressed to us. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required, unless statutory retention obligations apply (in particular Section 257 HGB and Section 147 AO; Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Our email mailbox is operated on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR) by Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Dublin, Ireland (Google Workspace). In doing so, data may also be transferred to the USA (Google LLC) and to other third countries. For the USA, there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission, as Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). For other third countries, Google uses the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR), which are available at cloud.google.com/terms/sccs.

4. Our profiles on social networks and in stores

We maintain profiles on X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Discord and pages for our games on Steam, in the Nintendo eShop, in the Apple App Store and on Google Play. The respective provider processes your data there under its own responsibility; its privacy policy applies. If you contact us there or interact with our posts, we process the data visible to us (for example your user name and the content of your message) in order to communicate with you, for as long as this is required for that purpose. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is aimed at concluding or performing a contract with you, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in communicating with our community and customers.

For the statistics that the providers make available to us about our profiles, we may be jointly responsible with the respective provider (Art. 26 GDPR). For our Facebook page and our Instagram profile, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland, has assumed primary responsibility for this processing, including the fulfilment of the rights of data subjects (Page Insights Controller Addendum). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in aligning our profiles with the interests of our audience.

5. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR

Insofar as we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

6. Obligation to provide data

You are not obliged to provide us with personal data. Without the processing of your IP address, however, the website cannot be displayed to you, and without your contact details we cannot answer your request.
